Taking Your Next Step In Following Jesus Christ

Do you know God's will for your life right now? When I ask that question in a group most of the time hardly any hands will go up. Most are trying to figure out what God's will is in their life. On this episode, we will discuss what God's will really is and how we can know it today.  

If God is not stopping all the evil and suffering then what is He doing about it? We look at what God's answer is to the problem of evil and weigh out if He has done enough.  

If God is all powerful then He can stop the evil but He doesn't. Why? What reasons are there for God not to stop the evil and suffering we find in our world?

We know that God exists, God is love, God is all good, God is all powerful, God is all knowing, and evil and suffering exist. So did God create evil and if not where did it come from? We take the next three episodes to answer three foundational questions of how suffering and evil can exist with a loving God.

Doubts will come in our life. Doubt does not make you a bad person or even mean you are forsaking our faith. Doubt can actually be a good thing that produces growth in your life. We examine how Jesus handled the doubt of John the Baptist to learn how we should handle ours. 

Is doubt the opposite of faith? Is doubt unbelief? Can we have faith and doubt at the same time? We answer these question about doubt and discover its relationship with faith. 

Is faith a reality? Is faith just some figment of our imagination that we cannot be certain whether we possess or not? Is it possible to lose faith? Is is possible to truly know whether we possess faith or not? We will answer these questions about faith to help us understand and identify when we have faith.

Faith is a word that is tossed around a lot within Christianity and in church. There are many great saying and quotes about faith. but what exactly is faith? Sometimes we can get lost in the length of definitions and the many saying about a subject. On this episode, we look specifically at clarifying what faith is by providing a two word definition that will help us understand exactly what faith is.   

This is a common question or response I have received over the years. We will look at five specific things that happen at salvation that reveal to us that a person cannot lose their salvation. If a person could lose their salvation then these five things would have too be undone which the Bible does not talk about.

It can be a temptation to slack off once we achieve goals. We must stay faithful and focus on making the most important days a masterpiece.

Our lives speak louder than our words. What we do carries more weight than what we say many times. There are three key indicators that should be evident in our lives if we are being obedient to the teachings of Jesus Christ. 

There are some wonderful promises that are connected with our obedience that Jesus gives in John 15. At the same time there are some vital problems that are connected with our disobedience.

We come to our last building block in this series that of obedience. Jesus illustrates what our obedience should look like so well in John chapter 15. Here Jesus talks about the "abiding life" and how that relates to our obedience. 

We give five verses that you can use to share the Gospel with most anybody and walk through a clear presentation of the Gospel using these verses.
