Taking Your Next Step In Following Jesus Christ

As we navigate forward on our podcast episodes, I want to central in on this theme of knowing God better. Paul emphasizes that knowing God is the greatest achievement in our Christian life. In this episode we explore Ephesians 1, where Paul prays for spiritual wisdom and revelation to know God better that we may understand our calling, recognize the spiritual riches we have in Christ, and rely on God's power.

On today's episode we explore what it means to be a Christian on mission, using John 4 and Jesus’ encounter with the Samaritan woman as the central example. Jesus teaches us the importance of lifting up our eyes and looking for the opportunities that are all around us. He reveals that we are to overcoming cultural barriers to reach unexpected people like this Samaritan woman. To be a Christian on mission means we must see and seize the opportunities that God has placed all around us!

On today's episode, we look at how Jesus prepared his disciples for persecution by promising the Holy Spirit. He describes him as the Comforter, an indwelling presence for believers.
